The Panthers completely stifled the Oilers in Game 6, opening the game with a two-goal first period, adding another in the second, and closing the game out with two more in the final frame. Sam Reinhart, who just missed out on scoring his second-straight Cup clincher, had four goals on the night.
Oilers forward Vasily Podkolzin scored in the final few minutes of the third period, but it was too little, too late for the Oilers, who fell to the Panthers for a second-straight year.
