Canadian MMA fighter Brad Katona has been removed from the UFC’s active roster, promotion officials confirmed Tuesday.

The 33-year-old is a two-time winner of The Ultimate Fighter — a feat no one else has accomplished. He won in two different weight classes: as a featherweight in 2018 and as a bantamweight in 2023.

Following his first TUF victory, Katona opened his UFC career with two wins. Then, after dropping back-to-back unanimous decisions, he was released and signed with Brave CF, where he won four straight fights before earning another shot at the UFC through a second stint on TUF.

After winning the show once again, the Winnipeg native officially returned to the UFC. He lost a unanimous decision in his first fight back, but rebounded with a win to get back on track.

Unfortunately, Katona then suffered two more defeats, including a 64-second knockout loss at UFC 315 in May — the first time in his career he had ever been finished.
