Sabrina Carpenter is shutting down accusations.
The 26-year-old “Manchild” singer reacted to a recent TikToker reacting to another post claiming a 2024 W Magazine photo shoot image was inspired by the 1997 film Lolita, which was based on the controversial novel of the same name by Vladimir Nabokov.

In the movie/novel, it tells the story of a man’s inappropriate obsession with a beautiful girl. Jeremy Irons, Dominique Swain, Melanie Griffith and Frank Langella all starred in the film.
When TikTok user @arcafan999 shared a screenshot of the comparison, which shows Sabrina and Dominique Swain both lying on the grass all wet under a sprinkler, reacting disgusted, Sabrina took to the comments to shut it down.
“i’ve never seen this movie. it’s never been on my mood board and never would be,” the singer wrote.
The user was still skeptical, replying with a quote of her “Nonsense” outro at Mexico City night three during her run as opener on The Eras Tour. “fully grown but i look like a nina’ yh sure,” they said.
Sabrina‘s early 2024 outro was, per Billboard, “I’m full grown but I look like a niña/ Come put something big in my casita/ Mexico, I think you are bonita!”
Recently, Sabrina has also responded to criticism of her using her sexuality in her music career.
